Aiko Okamoto (nee Sato), age 98, a resident of Arlington Heights, Illinois for 17 years, formerly of Park Ridge, passed away January 10, 2024. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Shigeo Okamoto. Loving mother of Paul, Julie (Tarek Refai), and Marc (Lee) Okamoto. Proud grandmother of Kevin (Allison) Okamoto, Katie (Tyler) Coenen, and Bennie Okamoto, and great-grandmother of Bodie and Maggie Okamoto. Loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Aiko was born December 11, 1925 in Seattle, Washington to the late Kenichi and the late Riku (nee Hommo) Sato. Aiko was a very active resident, and a dedicated volunteer in her Luther Village community, where she lived. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 beginning with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Private interment in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
